SAFELY TRAVEL IN STYLE THIS SUMMER
Your summer travel plans will likely look a little different this year, with the coronavirus throwing a wrench in just about everything. Traveling between countries will likely be at a standstill for the foreseeable future, and even some state-to-state travel is being restricted for the time being. That makes this summer the perfect summer to take an adventure in an RV!
Whether you already own one or decide to rent one, an RV can be a great way to get out and travel if you follow CDC guidelines. Plus, in Arkansas, we have some of the most beautiful local destinations you can easily explore.
What Is Different
In case you didn’t already know, we regret to inform you that many countries are restricting US travelers from crossing into their borders. Even with nonessential travel bans in place, airplane travel is still a high-risk activity that could put you and your family at risk of catching and spreading the virus.
If you’re going crazy from being cooped up in your home, road trips are the safest way to go. Venturing out in your RV is the perfect way to practice social distancing while not letting your summer go to waste!
Where to Visit
You don’t have to go far to find a place to visit this summer. Just like “The Natural State” nickname promises, here in Arkansas you can always find somewhere to relax and enjoy nature.
One of the most popular destinations for camping here in Arkansas is Hot Springs. There are multiple RV parks available in the area, several beautiful lakes, and many wonderful attractions.
Hot Springs National Park is one of them, and it was founded way back in 1832. Its flowing hot springs and breathtaking scenery have brought people in from all over the world since then.
Nearby, you can find campgrounds like Catherine’s Landing or DeGray Lake Resort will have lots of spots to park your camper.
Some other incredible summer travel destinations in Arkansas include:
- Petit Jean State Park
- Mount Magazine State Park
- Devil’s Den State Park
- Wooly Hollow State Park
- Mount Nebo State Park
- Lake Dardanelle State Park
Just make sure to reserve your ahead of time and ask about each destination’s restrictions. Setting the right expectations will help you plan your trip and have the best experience possible.
