Our 15-foot box trucks are an amazing amenity we offer to help new customers have smoother, safer, and less stressful moves. New customers usually have a few questions before renting the moving truck, so we’re answering all the most common ones here for you today. Let this be your guide when you’re ready to move into your own storage unit! How Much Does It Cost to Rent the Moving Truck? Take this in: Our moving truck is FREE for new customers! Isn’t that a great deal? For the first 30 days after moving in, new tenants renting anything larger than a 5x5 storage unit can take advantage of this amenity with no cost to reserve. This opportunity is only available once, so don’t wait! How Do I Make the Reservation? In order to reserve a moving truck, you need to give us a copy of your driver’s license and car insurance policy at least 24 hours in advance. This is so we can contact your insurance agent and make sure you are covered for driving the truck. Who Can Drive the Moving Truck? The driver of the moving truck does not have to be the tenant, but they must have car insurance covering the use of a 5x15 foot box truck. So, whoever will be driving during your move-in day needs to provide us with a copy of their insurance policy and a copy of their driver’s license. How Long Can I Use the Moving Truck? With your reservation, we allow you to use the moving truck for up to four hours, depending on the size of your storage unit. We typically book reservations for time slots of 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, but we are flexible in scheduling if the moving truck is available!
