At Modern Storage®, one unique amenity we offer our customers at every location across Arkansas is access to a handy moving truck. This FREE offer (yes, FREE OFFER!) can really be a lifesaver if hiring expensive movers or relying on friends to help you move is not the right solution for you.

When you think about it, a moving vehicle is one of the first things you need to arrange when planning your move. So, you need to start preparing now!

To help you make the most of your experience with our moving truck, we are happy to share more information on making a reservation, packing the truck, and getting moved into one of our secure storage facilities near you.

RESERVE THE TRUCK

First thing’s first: we do have requirements for using our moving truck. For one, you must be an incoming or current customer to use the truck and you must reserve the truck in advance!Second, we will need to verify that your auto policy carries comprehension and collision coverage in the event of an accident, and that your auto policy would extend that coverage while you were driving our vehicle. If those two things are squared away, we can offer you a couple of options when you’re ready to reserve the moving truck.

Moving First

With our moving truck at every Modern Storage® location, we offer a 15-foot box truck to our customers FOR FREE within your first 30 days with us. This grants you immediate access to our moving truck for up to 4 free hours and 40 free miles!

Moving Later

If you want to use the moving truck past the initial free reservation period within your first 30 days with us or rent the moving truck outside of your first 30 days with us, we are happy to accommodate you. However, we do charge a rental fee.

Even if you’ve rented our truck previously, we can still offer it to you at an affordable rate of $39 + $0.60 cents per mile for a full day rental. This is a steal you’re not likely to find at the average truck rental company!

PREPARE TO MOVE

Packing should be next on your preparation to-do list. Our experts can offer a few packing tips to help you plan this part, and we can also sell you the moving supplies you need to pack everything up.

LOAD THE TRUCK
Once the truck is reserved and you have everything packed and ready to be put on the truck, there are a few ways to make sure you’re using all that space efficiently.

As a rule of thumb, all heavier furniture items should be placed near the back of the vehicle. Tying those items to the frame of the truck will reduce the likelihood of them getting tossed around or damaging your other items.Once you get those bigger items loaded, you can start bringing in smaller items and boxes to fill in those spaces.
